Angele Alook

Angele Alook is a member of the Bigstone Cree Nation and holds a position as an assistant professor at York University’s school of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. Her research focuses on the Albertan fossil fuel industry through the lenses of Indigenous feminism, cultural identity and family sociology.
