In mid-November, the RCMP conducted a militarized raid on Wet’suwet’en territory, arresting dozens of Indigenous land defenders. Among those arrested were journalists Amber Bracken and Michael Toledano. In their first long interview since being released, they speak with The Breach’s Justin Brake on the importance of on-the-ground reportage, and why the media needs to refocus on the violence perpetrated against Indigenous land defenders, not just settler journalists.

What are people saying about The Breach?

“It’s about getting to the bottom of things. It’s about unveiling who has the power and what they’re doing with that power.”
