Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s new bill wants to aggressively fast-track resource extraction in the province.
It bulldozes Indigenous rights, the environment, workers, and democracy—and is a gift to the corporate elite.
The power of transformative journalism

When I went to journalism school 10 years ago, my parents thought that they would eventually read my articles in The Montreal Gazette. Today, that newspaper is a husk of its former self. But I get to explain that I’m working towards critical, independent, and sustainable journalism.

I agree with Ford.Enough of special interest groups. We are All Canadians. The Frost Nations are Not acting in the interest of the Country but disruptive and quarreling. There are very few that are not mostly white because of intermarriage and if they’re going to cause problems then they need to be held accountable for any disruptive and illegal activities.
Canada and the provinces, having grossly underfunded indigenous needs for potable water, mould-free housing, schools and healthcare, etc. are now in a position to extort FNs out of their treaty rights in exchange for a very small desperately-needed share of future corporate profits. The more dire the situation of the FN, the smaller their share.
