I am 56 and voting has never not been voting for the lesser evil.
Really great episode, thank you! I appreciated hearing the disagreement over which fascist warmonger will be harder to organize under. Something I think a lot about and have been recently saying things like Jones said. I think I still lean her way but thank you for the correctives from Lukacs about restrictiveness ramping up quickly under Trump. Would like to just point out that the idea of Trump bringing more liberals into the fight is not just a “moral” argument, but a long-term strategy for fighting the rightward shift of US policy under a two-party system. Not, in fact, a “love letter,” but a (far-sighted) chess move, as the Solnit fans would say.
